FITNESS brand Gymshark has given an insight into what the workplace in the metaverse will look like, sharing a video of their own business meeting in the virtual space.

Chief brand officer Noel Mack posted a video on LinkedIn of him holding a meeting in the metaverse with the company’s founder and chief executive Ben Francis.

The short clip gives an insight into how everyday work meetings could be held going forwards.

Unlike video calls on communication platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams, where all participants appear on a single 2D screen, the video proves how by using an AR headset those in the meetings in the metaverse can interact in a more natural way.

“Whilst this video gives you some idea of how it looks, it is incredibly immersive and high-resolution when you experience it for real,” Mack said on his LinkedIn.

Raving about the technology he can be heard in the video saying: “This is definitely a step ahead of Microsoft or Zoom and stuff like that.

“Imagine there were six of us now, this feels so much more authentic.”

Mack and Francis also change the interior design of their virtual room, proving the metaverse will give people the chance to choose the surroundings they feel best suits them.
