How do Shiboshis NFTs fit into the Shiba Inu ecosystem?

SHIBOSHIS NFTs were first released back in October 2021 and sold out in just 35 minutes.

The NFT collection includes 10,000 NFTs with a current floor price of 0.635 ETH.

But how will Shiboshis NFTs work with the rest of the Shiba Inu ecosystem?

Shiba Inu Game

Shiba Inu project lead Shyoshi Kusama said Shiboshis holders will be allowed to use their NFTs in the upcoming Shiba Inu game.

The Shiboshis game is currently under development by PlaySide Studios in collaboration with Activision veteran William Volk.

The game is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2023.

When announcing its partnership with Shiba Inu, game developer PlaySide Studios said: “The development of the game will draw from the art of the Shiba token’s Shiboshis NFT.”

Shytoshi Kusama said: “Shiboshis’ will have use inside and outside of just the game.

“They are a big part of the growth of SHIB into new realms.

“Also, keep an eye on the actual game cards.

“These NFTs will also have value.

“I expect lots of interest once people see what we are doing.”

Shiba Inu developer Eric M said: “We didn’t create Shiboshis for speculation.

“This is not the goal of our NFTs. We don’t care about Iron Man, full naked or clown face.

“Our Shiboshis are game characters and each accessory – even the full naked – has attributes.”

Shiba Inu metaverse

The Shiba Inu metaverse, known currently as the Shiberse, is rumoured to include some integration with the Shiboshis NFTs, although we still don’t know the specifics.

It could be possible that some areas of the metaverse become exclusive to Shiboshis owners.

Shiboshis NFTs will not be required to enter the ‘Shiberse’.

More Shiboshis?

With only 10,000 Shiboshis NFTs currently, there have been rumours about more Shiboshis NFTs, or at least more SHIB-related NFTs.

Shytoshi said: “There will be enough Shiboshis for all players,” which implies more Shiboshis’ are planned.

Shytoshi added: “Now what would happen if 1st generation or whatever was exclusive.”

When asked to clarify, he said he was taking about Shiboshis which implies a ‘2nd generation’ of Shiboshis are on the cards.
