Shiba Inu ban user from metaverse for drawing a swastika

A SHIB: The Metaverse user’s wallet address has been banned for drawing a swastika using the meme coin’s metaverse land.

Shiba Inu’s developers said: “SHIB: The Metaverse will place the wallet identifying the hate symbol violation on a blacklist, meaning it will never be able to participate in any and all areas of the platform.”

On April 12 the Shiba Inu metaverse land sale launched, with approximately 36,000 out of 100,000 plots up for grabs.

Through Shib.io, owners of LEASH (the ecosystem token) and Shiboshi NFTs were able to bid on metaverse land – which were square plots – for between 0.2 to 1 ETH each.

Every time a user bought a piece of land, it turned from ‘grey’ to ‘black’ when viewed from the map.

On April 15, members of the Shiba Inu Discord community found one user was buying land to form a swastika.

After the discovery, the Shiba Inu community rallied together and bought land around the swastika, changing the shape to a ‘window’.

In a tweet, Shiba inu developers said: “Dear Shib Army,

“Please take a moment to review the following guidelines. The safety of our community, and partners is our highest priority.

“A small update to our metaverse and the actions that will be taken for creating a negative environment within the space.

“The Shiba Inu team’s official response was to blacklist the user for ‘creating a negative environment’ within the space.

“We will not tolerate the use of hate speech, displays of intolerance, or bigotry (through words, actions, symbolism, etc) at the discretion of the community moderation tea.m
