FUTURE generations will be able to see and hear from their ancestors whose memories will be preserved in the metaverse.

Biography specialists StoryTerrace have teamed up with hologram tech experts 8i to give people the opportunity to film their story in a 360 degrees recording studio.

The memoir writing service usually works with clients to help produce books of their life to give to their family but decided now was the time to make the most of technological developments.

Future generations will now be able to interact with the 3D holograms of the story tellers in the metaverse.

In years to come, StoryTerrace hopes people will be able to hear stories from their great-great-great grandparents through virtual reality.

They will be able to learn about their family history from their relatives as if they were stood right in front of them.

The exciting new tech will help preserve cherished memories for years to come.

Rutger Bruining, co-founder of StoryTerrace, said: “The book is a unique medium to tell someone’s life stories because you can really reflect on life, look at turning points and go incredibly deep into that story.

These immersive experience is currently available to record at StoryTerrace’s LA and Chicago offices, with the company hoping to soon open a 3D filming space in London.

As well as the the company offering the chance for people to be forever captured in 3D form, the company is also able to provide persons settings for the experiences.

It means those interacting with the AI in the metaverse will be able to do so in a setting of the story teller’s choice – be that their home of a favourite location with which they have a special connection.
