Working with the Republican party’s Cynthia Lummis, the pair have put forward legislation that aims to establish comprehensive regulatory guidelines for the crypto industry.

The bill would make the Commodity Futures Trading Commission the industry watchdog for crypto firms, and would also lead to Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies being defined as securities that require registering with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
