What is Dogelon Mars?
Dogelon Mars is one of a number of dog-themed cryptocurrency meme coins that appeared to jump on the success of Dogecoin.
It was launched on April 23 2021 by founders who have remained anonymous.
In the hope to catch the attention of the entrepreneur Elon Musk, who regularly tweets about Dogecoin, it is listed on exchanges as ELON.
ELON used a publicity stunt to draw attention to itself when it first launched by gifting tokens to Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin.
Of the one quadrillion ELON tokens first minted, half were sent to Buterin, who donated almost all of them to The Methuselah Foundation.
The stunt was similar to one conducted by another meme coin, Shiba Inu, when it first launched.
The Methuselah Foundation, which is a medical charity focused on extending the human lifespan, said it would keep hold of the tokens for at least a year.
In a bid to separate itself from other cryptocurrencies, it says that it wants to help cryptocurrency holders who have been targeted by scams.
The Dogelon Mars community is encouraged to donate ELON tokens to victims of fraud.
Dogelon Mars claims that it hopes to be the first galactic currency, being used by humans if Mars and other planets are inhabited at a future date.
Dogelon Mars price prediction 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025
It is unlikely Dogelon Mars will reach a value of one cent any time soon. Although price predictors expect the coin’s value to grow in the coming years, it will still be worth comparatively little.
PricePrediction predicts that by the end of 2022 it will be worth $0.00000032. In 2023 it is forecast to almost double in value to $0.00000058, to $0.00000083 in 2024, and to $0.00000121 in 2025.
On DigitalCoinPrice, the cryptocurrency is expected to be worth $0.00000038 by the end of 2022. Its forecasts are broadly in line with those set out by PricePrediction, with the website expecting Dogelon Mars to be worth $0.00000067 by the end of 2023, $0.00000091 by the end of 2024 and $0.00000118 by the end of 2025.
