Who is Brian Jung?
Brian Jung was born in Maryland, US, in 1997.
Jung was born into a poor family, and said mottos about saving money were the norm growing up: “Don’t spend a lot.
“Don’t eat out that much.
“Don’t drive too fast or you’ll use up more gas.
“Maximize every coupon possible, every discount possible – that’s what I grew up with.”

At the age of 15, Jung was kicked out of school.
He said: “I used to have this victim mentality.
“I used to complain all the time.
“I told myself, ‘I’m not going to live my life this way.”
After six months on an educational program that counselled naughty students, he was allowed to return to high school and started to excel at rugby.
Jung’s first YouTube video was uploaded in 2013, but it wasn’t until 2018 that he started his channel about personal finance and entrepreneurship.
In 2018, Jung, then just 21, dropped out of college to concentrate on his YouTube channel.
Jung said: “I had to tell my parents, ‘I know you’ve worked really hard and I know how scary this is going to be, but I’m not going to finish school.
“In the beginning, YouTube did not pay me anything. But I realized the downfalls of e-commerce businesses and saw the advantages of YouTube.
“I didn’t have to rely on clients. I didn’t have to work with other people. I didn’t have to scale and buy an office and get hundreds of employees.”
But it wasn’t until 2021, and the cryptocurrency bull run, that Jung’s channel really took off.
Jung said: “It took me years to get my first 100,000 subscribers, but in less than one year I gained 900,000 subscribers.”
Jung was earning more than $300,000 per month from affiliate marketing, ads and sponsorship deals in no time.
In 2021, Jung said: “My goal in the next few years is to have the largest crypto and personal finance YouTube channel.
“I want to keep building. I just want to create a future generation for my family where no one has to worry about money again.“
Jung now has more than 1 million subscribers.
Thanks to his online success, Jung has worked on two Netflix projects, one of which is a documentary called Money Explained, where he talks about taking advantage of credit card points to stack up free rewards.
