AN NFT SUPERYACHT worth $95,000,000 is set to go on sale – with the purchaser also receiving a physical copy of the 63metre vessel.

Called Project Metaverse, the yacht is set to be the most expensive NFT ever sold.

The new design has been produced by Cloud Yachts, the first digital yacht dealer in the metaverse.

Cloud Yachts has already produced a number of NFTs that can be purchased via OpenSea, the leading blockchain marketplace.

The first went on sale last month.

NFTs produce by Cloud Yachts are currently available for a price of 1 ETH, approximately $2,500 on the current exchange rate.

The Project Metaverse NFT will be the first to be sold with a physical vessel alongside it.

Yacht designer Gregory Marshall, who recently was involved with the creation of the 80m multi-award-winning Artefact, will be the architect.

Project Metaverse is set to debut at the Palm Beach International Boat Show in Florida later this month.

The physical replica will be built at the Delta Marine shipyard in the US.

The NFT and vessel are being sold by the international boat broker, Denison Yachting.

Alex Clarke, sales broker at the company said: “I am beyond excited to help pioneer this revolutionary new build process with Gregory Marshall Naval Architects, Delta Marine and Cloud Yachts.”

He added: “I feel this will be a groundbreaking project and implement a shift in the way yachts are built and sold.”

While this is the first sale that will see a superyacht sold with an NFT, the sale of assets in both physical and digital form could be a growing trend.

Last month a stately home in the UK valued at £29million went on sale.

Hampton Hall in Oxshott, complete with 11-bedrooms, a private bowling alley, home cinema, gym and swimming pool, is available in the real world alongside an NFT containing the copyright and virtual version of the home.
