Do Kwon Interpol red notice

INTERPOL has asked law enforcement agencies across the globe to find and arrest the founder of Terra, Do Kwon.

A red notice has been issued for the 31-year-old, who has been accused of fraud over the company’s $40 billion collapse.

An arrest warrant was issued in South Korea earlier in September.

Do Kwon had flown to Singapore in May, just before Terra crashed, but authorities say he’s no longer there.

Prosecutors have also issued arrest warrants for five other people – who have not been named – linked to the so-called stablecoin Terra and its sister token Luna.

Stablecoins are designed to have a ‘stable’ price and are usually pegged to a real-world commodity or currency.

But Terra’s value collapsed in May 2022, with the price of both Terra and Luna plummeting to nearly zero.

Worldwide, investors in Terra and Luna have lost an estimated $42 billion.
