What is GALA?
GALA is an Ethereum token that powers Gala Games – a platform which builds blockchain-powered games.
Each game gives players true ownership of their in-game items through the use of NFTs.
Launched in 2020, the platform has been developed by a team of 60 and currently has more than 1.3 million active users worldwide.
The platform has its own native utility token – GALA – which players are rewarded in for playing their range of games.
GALA is also used as the main digital asset in the Gala Games ecosystem for purchasing items, peer-to-peer payments, rewarding nodes, and more.
The GALA token has a maximum supply of 50 billion units.

Gala Games’ network is secured by its own set of nodes called Founder’s Nodes.
Gala Games specifies a maximum of 50,000 Founder’s Nodes that validate in-game transactions and secure the network.
How Does Gala Games (GALA) Work?
All games are free-to-play and are accessed over the blockchain through a decentralised application (DApp).
Gala Games is currently working on a total of five different games: Mirandus, Spider Tank, Town Star, Fortified and Echoes of Empire.
On Mirandus, players battle monsters in a variety of locations and build their land to earn revenue.
Spider Tank is a multiplayer online battle arena game where players fight on a variety of maps using their spider tanks and various weapons.
In Town Star players manage a town similar to the gameplay of SimCity, but in Town Star, they actually own the town.
Fortified sees players put their strategies to the test using a variety of player-owned assets.
Echoes of Empire is also a strategy game where players battle for the resources scattered across the universe.
Players also have access to an NFT store where they can buy and sell assets in multiple cryptocurrencies.
These items are divided into six rarity classes: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Ancient.
Gala Games also has a set of collectible NFT avatars called VOXs.
Each VOX is unique and some are rarer than others.
In the initial drop, 8,888 VOX were distributed for an average price of 0.0888 ETH – roughly $280 at the time.
Owners can also get their own FBX file which will allow them to print their VOX in 3D in the future.
